BOAT OWNER'S NOTES:
DESCRIPTION: The 29 foot Cruisers yacht is a true live aboard vessel great for extended weekend boating.
She is powered by two 270 HP Crusader engines with about 567 hours on both.
The two inboards provide for enhanced maneuverability at slow speeds when rudder authority is minimal.
Differential engine power is great for docking and maneuvering in tight spaces.
With a deep “V” hull, cruising at between 17 and 20 knots is smooth.
LAYOUT: This live aboard has a full galley with AC/DC refrigerator-freezer, alcohol or electric two element stove, double sink and microwave built in.
Hot water is provided by a 15 gallon heater powered from AC or engine cooling water.
The fresh water system can be from shore or an internal 150 gallon fresh water tank.
Hot water is available for the shower or sinks in the galley or head.
The galley is roomy enough for four adults and plenty of hanging and dry storage throughout.
The table can be converted into a bed for children with storage under the two bench seats.
Along with the galley and full head below is the living accommodations are available in two berths.
One forward and a second mid-cabin is comfortable for two adults in each.
Both feature reading lights and ventilation and storage for clothing while underway.
ELECTRICAL: Electrical power is controlled by an electrical panel just below in the living spaces.
Two AC busses and one DC bus provide power from 30 AMP shore or and the DC by one of three batteries in the engine compartment.
All three batteries, one each for starting the engines and one for the “house” are charged by a triple battery charger while on shore power of the engines alternators underway.
ENGINES and MAINTANENCE: Speaking about power, the two 270 HP inboard Crusaders are fed from a 150 gallon gasoline tank.
Fuel is strained from independent water/particle filters.
Fresh water is brought in through pumps rebuilt in 2009 with spare cores.
The engines have been maintained locally and winter serviced each season.
The 17 inch brass propellers have been balanced for optimum performance and the exhaust manifolds replaced in 2009.
ELECTRONICS: Raymarine 4KW monochrome RADAR with navigation display and chip.
The radar display data is provided by a Furuno GPS and Standard VHF with DSC.
A current EPIRB is installed.
An AM/FM radio is built in with speakers in the forward berth and upper entertainment spaces aft.
The elevated cockpit accommodates the pilot and surrounding seat for observers to enjoy the ride.
A wrap around bench seat accommodates six adults comfortably.
A fold down center section allows access to boarding and the swim platform.
Lighted exit ways are on each side for dock access.
The canvas top is in good condition wit the windows replaced in 2010.
During the winter a new winter cover encloses the cockpit and rear deck so no winter wrap is needed.
The canvas is stored indoors at home along with the electronics and bedding.
The boat has navigated the waters around New England since we owned her in 2000.
My employment will take me to Denver so a new owner has the opportunity to enjoy the Cruisers Yacht as we did.
