BOAT OWNER'S NOTES for 1982 BOSTON WHALER Newport in VERY GOOD condition.
OVERVIEW:
The 17 Newport Boston Whalers are rare finds and they tend to be nostalgic amongst the devoted Whaler community, This boat spent a lot of time in a warehouse until recently.
BOAT RESTORATION:
Process includes, moving fuel/water separator and battery from rear of boat to under midsection center console and running all new lines and battery cables, Old rub rail removed and entire exterior of boat sanded and painted (using high end AllGrip paint) by professionals, New rub rail base and rub rail pad installed using the original ruby red featured on limited additions.
INTERIOR:
Was custom designed using high quality mahogany wood carefully coated and protected with 5 coats, New seating cushions custom made for front and midsection and designed to match captain’s bench, Boat comes with midsection Bimini (Tan) that is adjustable to cover front or midsection of the boat, Rail and boat mounted rod holders are included,
Boat has custom made covers – full and day covers.
TRAILER:
Is in good shape with new carpet on runners.
ENGINE INFORMATION:
2000 Yamaha 4 Stoke Engine, maintained regularly by professional local Yamaha dealer, 160 hrs on the engine, New propeller just installed in November 2015 along with new boat battery, Trims adjustment on the throttle and switch on the engine itself, Three gauges that measure, Tachometer, RPM, Battery Power.
